Yeast Infection Symptoms
The signs and symptoms of yeast infection may differ depending on the part of the body where infection occurs and the person/animal who gets it. Yeast infections are common among women.
The yeast infection symptoms in vaginal area are a white discharge, looking like a cottage cheese, with a fishy smell. It can be associated with itchiness, pain during peeing, pain during intercourse. The vulva looks very red and you may have sensations of burning. As a side note a yellowish discharge is not a sign of vaginal thrush, but a sign of bacterial vaginosis which requires different treatment.
Yeast infection in males appears mostly on the penile area, and it usually it does have symptoms. Yet, sometimes men are just carriers and the signs of penile yeast infection cures may not be present at all. However, for those who do have symptoms, you may experience first a redness and small swalloing spots on the penis. Also, you may experience a white discharge and pain during peeing.
Besides genital area, yeast infection can appear in the mouth, often being called oral thrush. Tis type od infection is very common for babies. The sihns of oral candidiasis are a thick, white patches on top of a red base that can be seen on the tongue and on the palate of the mouth. It can go down to throat as well.
Skin yeast infections are not as common as vaginal ones, yet sometimes are misunderstood with other types of infections. Babies and toddlers can develop diaper rash. If no treatment works to heal it than the baby may actually suffer from skin yeast infections. Adults may develop some skin folds which are a sign of skin yeast candidiasis. These skin lesions usually cause itching and pain.
Besides humans, Candia Albicans can appear in animals too, particularly dogs. Yeast infection in dogs could be found in ears and on the skin. Dogs with long ears are very prone to develop yeast fungus. The symptoms are a discharge from the ears with a foul smelling.
